Vaikom Sri Mahadeva Temple
Vaikom Sri Mahadeva temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most venerated temples in South India. It is also one of the oldest temples. In this temple Lord Shiva is fondly known as Sri Vaikkathappan. Vaikom Sri Mahadeva temple is one of the few temples revered by both Shaivite and Vaishnavite devotees. Worship in this temple has continued uninterrupted since its inception.
