Temples in Kanchipuram

Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temple, in the historic city of Kanchipuram is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths in India. Kamakshi Mata is worshipped as ‘Parabrahma’ Shakti here. The navel part of Mata Sati fell at this spot and is known as ‘Nabhisthan Ottiyana Peetam’. Kanchipuram is also one of the seven Mokshapuris of India.
