Temples in Nanded

Renuka Mata temple in Mahur, Maharashtra is one of the three and a half Shakti Peeths of Maharashtra. Built on the top of a hill, the temple is dedicated to Renuka Mata, the mother of Sage Parshuram. Renuka Mata was the wife of Rishi Jamadagni, one of the Saptarishis.  Mahur is also the birthplace of Lord Dattatreya and is also known as Datta Kshetra.
