Pashupatinath Rudrashtadhyayi is made of two words; "Rudra" means "Shiva" and "Ashtadhyayi" means "one with eight chapters." Shiva is included in these eight chapters. And Rudrabhishek in Pashupatinath Temple holds immense spiritual significance, as it is believed to remove negative energies, fulfill desires and bring peace and prosperity. When Rudrabhishek is combined with chanting of Rudrashtadhyayi, it becomes a powerful spiritual experience that invokes the energy of Lord Shiva in his fiercest form, Rudra.
The most auspicious time to perform is during Shravan month. You can also perform this ritual during Mahashivratri, Mashik Shivaratri, Pradosh Vrat daysor on any monday.
