Sri Swamy Vaari Saswata Nijabhishekam - Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple

About
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is a sacred, annual seva where the main deity, Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, is offered Nijaroopa Abhishekam—a holy ritual bathing performed directly on the original idol (not the Utsava Murti). Conducted with great devotion, the Lord is bathed with divine substances like milk, honey, and sandalwood water, accompanied by Vedic chanting. This powerful seva is believed to purify the soul and bring divine grace, peace, and protection.
The puja begins with Ganapati Puja to invoke Lord Ganesha for the successful completion of the ritual. This is followed by Punyahavachanam, a purification process using holy water and Vedic mantras. Devotees then perform Sankalpam, declaring their intention for participating in the seva. Kalasha Sthapana is done by placing sacred pots filled with holy water, which are sanctified through mantras. The highlight is the Nijabhishekam, where the Moolavar (main deity) of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha is bathed with various sacred items such as milk, curd, ghee, honey, coconut water, sandalwood paste, and rose water, all while chanting powerful Vedic hymns. After the abhishekam, the deity is adorned through Alankaram with flowers, silk garments, and ornaments. Naivedyam (food offerings) are then presented to the Lord, followed by Maha Harathi and prasadam distribution, completing this deeply sacred and spiritually uplifting ritual.
