Supa Deurali Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Arghakhanchi district of Nepal. This temple is situated at an altitude of about 4,500 feet and is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati. Supa Deurali Temple is a major Hindu temple located in Sandhikhark Municipality of Arghakhanchi district of Nepal. This temple is situated between the Mahabharat mountain range at an altitude of about 4,500 feet, which presents a wonderful confluence of natural beauty and religious faith. Local people believe that Goddess Supadevi fulfills the wishes of the devotees. Apart from Goddess Bhagwati, the temple also has idols of Ganesha, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Shiva. The temple was established in Vikram Samvat 1600 (AD 1543) by King Biswa Pal Shah of Khanchikot in memory of his daughter Subarna Kumari. He established the idol of Goddess Bhagwati and built the temple. According to local legends, once upon a time the princess of Khanchikot was married to the prince of Balrampur (India). During the journey after the marriage, the bride committed suicide, after which an unknown disease spread in the village. The local shaman told that the dead princess had appeared in the form of a goddess and she should be worshipped. After this people gathered at the place and started worshipping, which increased the prestige of the temple.
