History of Sri Ganesh Temple at Secunderabad

The temple is among the most well-known in Telangana and is almost 200 years old. The Madras Regiment of Sepoys is said to have found the idol of Lord Ganesha in 1824 while excavating a well. Later, the idol of the Lord was positioned as the primary deity in this temple, which was constructed with amazing architecture. In the merged state of Andhra Pradesh, the temple was nonetheless disliked despite its intriguing history and design. This was due to the Kanipakam Ganesh Temple receiving the majority of the public's and government's attention. But during the past 20 years, a lot of devotees have visited the temple, making it one of Secunderabad's major temples. In 1960, the temple also had an expansion. According to the head of the temple committee, the temple brings in around four crores a year.
