Sri Patladhree Narasimhar Thirukovil, also known as Patladhreepuram or Singaperumal Koil, is an ancient temple located in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu. This temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the fierce incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Patladhree means "depth of the mountain," as the temple is located on a small mountain. There is a sacred tree Azhinjal (Angolam Tree) in the temple premises, where devotees make wishes. Photography is prohibited in the sanctum sanctorum here. Sri Patladhree Narasimhar Thirukovil, also known as Patladhreepuram or Singaperumal Koil, is an ancient temple located in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu. This temple is a spiritual and historical place for the devotees, where fears and sufferings are removed by mere darshan. This temple is based on Vaikanas Agama Shastra and its idol is considered to be Swayambhu (self-manifested). Lord Narasimha seated in the sanctum sanctorum is in a very divine and calm form. Goddess Ahobilavalli Thayar (the Lord's wife) also has a separate temple in the temple complex.
