Parvati Hill, located in Pune, is a prominent hillock rising 2,100 feet (640 meters) above sea level. Parvati Temple is one of Pune's most picturesque sites; it sits atop a hillside. The temple is dedicated to Lord Mahadev and Mata Parvati. The idol of Goddess Parvati is located in the temple of Goddess Bhavani, also known as Ashtabhuja Devi. Constructed during the Peshwa period, the temple is the oldest heritage structure in Pune. Mahashivratri is the most important festival celebrated at Parvati Hill Temple. October to February are the best times to visit this temple.
