Temples in Deoghar

The Vaidyanatha temple, also called Baba Vaidyanath Dham is situated in Deoghar at the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand, India. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and one of the most revered places where Shiva lives. He was impressed with Ravana's commitment and wanted to help him when he got hurt. At that time Shiva acted like a Doctor and healed Ravana's injuries. That's why Shiva is sometimes called Vaidya, which means "Doctor". The temple derives its name from this aspect of Shiva.

Baba Basukinath Dham is located in the Dumka District of Jharkhand. It is a place of Pilgrimage for Hindus. Basukinath Dham is also known as Shiva Temple, one of the oldest temples around 150 years old and have been built by Basaki Tatme. It is also believed during the Sagar Manthan, Lord Vasuki worshipped the Shiva Lingam. Also, the Nagas(the snakes)used to bathe the Shiva Lingam with milk hence this holy place is known as Basukinath Shivling.

Naulakha Mandir is located at Karnibad, Deoghar Jharkhand, This is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. The architecture of the Temple looks like that of Belur Math, Ramakrishna Temple in Kolkata, Inside the temple, there are idols of Radha and Krishna Its height is 146 feet. Naulakha Temple was built in 1940 by Rani Charushila Devi, the Queen of Pathuriya Ghat, West Bengal. She was spending 9 lakh rupees to build this Temple hence the name of the Temple is Naulakha Mandir.

The Temple is Located in Madhupur, Deoghar State of Jharkhand, India. It is 7 Km from Madhupur village. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is one of the oldest temples in Madhupur which was built by Raja Digvijay Singh about 6 to 7 centuries ago.
