Dakshineswar Kali Temple (Kolkata)
Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata is dedicated to Maa Kali in the form of Devi Bhavatarini. Originally this temple was known as Sri Sri Jagadeeshwari Mahakali. Built in the Navratna style of Bengali architecture, this is one of Bengal’s iconic temples. The great saint Ramakrishna Paramhansa and his chief disciple Swami Vivekananda are associated with this temple.
