Paduka abhishek is the ritual were abhishek is done on Lord dattatreya's feat or footwear. The term "Paduka" refers to he foot or footwear and "Abhishek" is a ritualastic bathing. This ritual is the best way to seeking blessing of Lord Dattatrey.The paduka abhishek is common in temples particularly it is dedicated to Lord Dattatrey where their footwear of feat is considered sacred. In this ritual paduka abhishek is done with help of things like Milk, Water, Honey, Yogurt, Ghee.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking Lord Dattatreya is is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then paduka abhishek is done with the help of thing like Ghee, Water, Curd and Honey along with mantras by the pujari. At last, arti is done by the pujari and blessings are taken by the devotees.
