About Aswaklanta Temple

Aswaklanta Temple is a popular tourist place located in Guwahati, Assam. Beside the temple River Brahmaputra flows. Lord Vishnu is worshipped in this temple. It is said as when Lord Krishna was searching for Narakasur, his Hourses were tired and he stopped at this spot to give them rest. For that reason, the Temple is known as Aswaklanta Temple which means tired horses. The temple was built by Ahom King Shiva Singha in 1720.
