Narayan Bali Puja

According to the Garuda Purana, the Narayan Bali puja is performed when a person dies due to abnormal circumstances, such as death by disease, suicide, animals, a curse, or a snake bite. In this ritual, a missing person is also considered dead and their last rituals are performed in the same manner as in the case of an actual death. A symbolic dead body is made from Kush grass and burned like a real one, followed by activities such as hair removal, Terhavi and Brahmabhoj.
