Panchopchar Puja in Aundha Nagnath is a ritual of expressing devotion and seeking blessing where five elements are worshipped on the Shivlings. All these five things have their importance. These five elements are Gandha - sandalwood, Pushpa - flowers, Dhupa - incense, Dipa - Lamp, Naivedhya - food and water. Panchopchar ritual is done on special occasions like festivals.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then the puja starts with prayers to lord Ganesha and then Lord Shiva is worshipped in the puja. Then Abhishek is offered to Lord Shiva along with the mantras. Then 5 items are offered to Lord Shiva one by one along with chanting the mantras. Then blessings of Lord Shiva are taken.
