About The Chamundeshwari Temple
Sri Chamundeshwari Temple is 13 km from Mysuru, in Karnataka, on the top of Chamundi Hills and is dedicated to Devi Chamundi, or Durga. The original temple is said to have been constructed in the 12th century by the Hoysala Dynasty's rulers, while the Vijayanagara Empire's rulers most likely built the tower in the 17th century. Navaratri is important festival for this temple. The best time to visit this temple is from October to February.
