Bhimashankar Ekadash Rudra Abhishek

Laghu Rudra Abhishek in Bhimashankar is a ritual done for worshipping Lord Shiva where chanting of mantras is done. In this ritual, Panchamrut (milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar), is offered to the Shivling. This offering represents the devotees' devotion to Shivji.

Maha Puja in Bhimashankar is a ritual involving the worship of the deity. The word "Maha" means great and "Puja" means worship. Several prayers and mantras are chanted offering various items like flowers, fruits, sweets, etc. The Mahapuja has mainly three pujas or step covers i.e. Shodosopchar puja, Panchamrut Puja and Rudra Lesson. Shodosopchar Puja is the Puja of 16 Mantras mentioned in Purushsukta. Puja is performed by this 16 Mantra.

Rudra Abhishek in Bhimashankar is a significant and sacred Vedic ritual performed to get the blessings of Lord Shiva. This puja includes the bathing of Lord Shiva along with chanting of mantras with items like Panchamrit, Milk and other sacred items. It is believed that doing this puja helps in making Lord Shiva happy.

Panchamrita Abhishek in Bhimashankar is a Hindu ritual puja where five liquids are poured over the deities and mantras are chanted. It is a combination of two words i.e.., Pancha which means five and Amrita which means nectar. The five main ingredients are used to make Panchamrita including milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar. These all are mixed together. Mantras are chanted throughout the process and once the puja is completed, the Panchamrut is distributed as prasad.
