About

Chaurasi Shivling Parikrama Pujan at Manimahesh Chaurasi Temple, Bharmour, is a sacred ritual involving circumambulation of 84 ancient temples, each symbolizing a form of Lord Shiva or associated deities. Located in Himachal Pradesh, this spiritual pilgrimage is believed to cleanse sins and grant divine blessings. Devotees perform the parikrama with devotion, offering prayers and flowers at each shrine. The temple complex is a significant religious site, especially during the Manimahesh Yatra, attracting pilgrims from across India.

There will be 3 Brahmins in this puja.

At first sankalp is taken by the name of the Devotees begin the puja by taking a bath and wearing clean clothes. They pray at the main Mani Mahesh temple, then perform the Parikrama (circumambulation) of all 84 Shivalingas with devotion. At each temple, devotees offer water, milk, flowers and Bilva leaves while chanting "Om Namah Shivaya". Aarti and incense are offered at each linga. After that, sixteen pujas are performed, Shiva Mahimna Shrotra is recited. The parikrama ends with a special prayer to Lord Shiva for blessings, protection and liberation from sins through this holy journey. Then the Maha Aarti of the main four Mani Mahesh ji is performed.
