The term 56 bhog meams offering of 56 different types of food items to God. The number 56 is considered to be very auspicious among the Hindu culture. The offering of various food items are counted to be very beneficial.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than offering of all the 56 bhog (different food items) are offered to Lord Mukharvind by following all the vedic rituals and prayers by the pujari. Than the blessings are taken by the devotees and the puja is completed.
