Kamdhenu Puja - Manimahesh Chaurasi Temple

Kamdhenu Puja at Manimahesh Chaurasi Temple in Bharmour honors the celestial cow Kamdhenu, believed to fulfill all desires. It starts with Sankalp, taking water and flowers and taking a vow to worship with devotion. Invoke Maa Ganga with mantras and offer flowers, sandalwood, incense and lamps during meditation and worship. Panchamrit is prepared with milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar for Abhishek. Aarti of Maa Ganga is performed with devotion. Offer water to Vaitarni Devi near Bhavasagar and pray for salvation. Kamdhenu (silver cow idol) is worshipped with a kusha ring, flowers, yellow cloth, especially if the horns are of gold. Offer Panchamrit and chant mantras. The puja is concluded with a combined Aarti of Maa Ganga, Vaitarni and Kamdhenu.
