Kaal Sarp Dosh occurs when all seven planets come between Ketu and Rahu in a horoscope. Therefore, the person with such a horoscope is affected by Ketu and Rahu. This is known as Sarp Dosh and is believed to have very adverse effects. To be free of these adverse effects the person must do the Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh is done by the pujari with the help of mantras to remove hurdles that might come in the puja. Then items like milk, flowers, etc. are offered by the pujari along with chanting of mantras. At last, arti is done of the God.
