Satyanarayan puja is a religious ritual in which a picture or idol of Lord Satyanarayan is installed and worshipped. The term "Satyanarayan" translates to "the Lord of Truth," where "Satya" means truth and "Narayan" refers to Vishnu, who is the preserver and protector of the universe. This puja is a way of seeking Lord Satyanarayan's blessings for prosperity, happiness, health, and the removal of obstacles in life.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotee. Then invoking Lord Satyanarayana is done along with the mantras and prayers by the pujari. This puja is the story of Lord Satyanarayana, which is to be heard by all the devotees who are taking part in this puja. At last, the pujari ji does the Arti and the prasad is distributed among the devotees.
