The Maha Mrityunjay Jaap is an extraordinary power dedicated to Lord Shiva. Maha means great, Mrityu means death, and Jaya means victory. Maha Mrityunjay Jaap is done for various purposes, like overcoming fear. Chanting this mantra helps with physical and mental health and well-being. The Maha Mrityunjay mantra is 32 words Long and repeated many times during the puja. Maha Mrityunjay mantra is a shloka from Rigveda and is considered to be the most powerful Shiva mantra. This eternal mantra is also a part of Yajurveda. It is believed that the person who perfects this mantra attains Moksha.
Maha Mrityunjay Jaap is performed by Pandit Ji. then Lord Shiva is invoked by the Panditji. After that flowers, water, Belva Patra, fruits etc, are offered to Lord Shiva along with chanting of mantras and prayers by the Pandit ji.
