Mukhimath is the math of Gangotri. The word "Charan paduka " is a Sanskrit word "Charan" means feet and "Paduka" means footwear. Charan paduka puja is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Charan paduka puja is considered a very auspicious ritual in Mukhimath. In this ritual, Flower and Kapoor are offered to the Goddess's feet. Performing this puja could be very beneficial to the devotees.
At First sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Goddess Ganga is done with mantra and jaap by the pujari. Then thing like flower, Incense and water are offered to Goddess feet. At last arti is done and blessings are taken by the devotees.
