Shani Shingnapur - Darshan Yatra

The Shani dev temple at the village of Shingnapur. The temple is believed to be jagrut devasthan (alive temple). Which means that Lord Shani dev resides in the temple. The Shani dev idol in the temple is known to be as Swayambhu. 

At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than the pujari ji explains the importance of the temple and the other nessarys stuffs of the yatra. Than the yatri's are taken for darshan inside the temple. Than a mala of leaves and a black cloth is offfered to Lord Shani dev by the devotees. Than things like flowers prasad etc are offered to shani dev. Than offering of oil and til is done in a box by the devotees. At last the darshan of shani dev is done from the barrier and the yatra is completed. 

This is a standard darshan, not a V.I.P. darshan service. The fee covers the Dakshina for the Tirth Purohit, but does not include any puja services. The Tirth Purohit will only facilitate the darshan of Shanidev Temple.
