The Tripindi Shradh Puja is a ritual performed in Varanasi to bring peace to the souls of ancestors who have died with unfulfilled desires or without proper rites. At first, devotees take a dip bath in the holy river for purification and then wear holy clothes. Then Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Pujari creates balls from rice and jaggery and then devotees offer these balls to Pitru.
