Before the puja begins, clean the house and srinkle gangajal. place a toran of mango leaves on the main door. the homeowner takes Sankalp to perform the puja and lord ganesh is worshipped first to remove hurdles in this puja. then kalesh is established. the vastu purusha god of the structure is invoked and worshipped to bless the building. a holy fire is lightin up and mantras are chanted with the offering of ghee and samagri to the fire to purify the air and to remove vastu doshas. ritual ends with a camphor aarti and prashad is distributed by pandit ji to devotees.
