Garud ganga is one of the most holiest place which is located 500 meter’s from the temple of Yamunotri. Gaurd Ganga is the same place at which Lord Garud had taken a bath to get rid of all the sins that he did.
At first the Sankalp will be taken in the name of the person. Than the mantras are chanted and the puja of “Garud Ganga” is done by worshipping Lord Vishnu, Goddess Yamuna and Lord Garud with flowers and fruits. At last the blessings of the river is taken.
