About Adyapeath Mandir

The temple was originally founded in 1915 by Annada Charan Bhattacharya, a devotee of Sri Ramakrishna, who built a shrine after being guided through divine dreams to recover a Kali idol from Eden Gardens. The current marble temple structure was completed in 1967. Daily puja follows traditional routines; food is prepared in the Bhog Ghar in view of the temple before being offered and distributed. Bhajans and discourses are held regularly in the nearby prayer hall. Many devotees are still inspired and uplifted by Adyapeath's daily rituals, colourful festivals, altruistic endeavours and beautiful settings. Along with the aroma of flowers and incense, you also carry the silent power of unshakeable faith when you exit the temple gates.
