Airavateshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in Darasuram town of Thanjavur district, near Kumbakonam, in Tamil Nadu. This temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is part of the “Great Living Chola Temples," along with the Brihadesswara Temple and Gangaikondacholisvaram Temple. Festival celebrations at this temple are Mahashivratri, Natyanjali Dance, Arudra Darshan, Adi Puram and Navratri. The best time to visit this temple is from November to February.
