Anegudde Vinayaka Temple is one of seven 'Mukti Sthalas' of Karnataka, or Parashurama kshetras, which are believed to have been created by the sage Parashurama and are located in the Udupi district of Karnataka. It is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Anegudde is the combination of two words: "Aane," which means 'Elephant' and "Gudde," which means 'hillock'. Ganesh Chaturthi is the main festival celebrated at Anegudde Vinayaka Temple.
