About Banashankari Devi Temple
The Banashankari Devi Temple is located in the city of Bagalkot, Karnataka, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakambhari who is known as the incarnation of Goddess Parvati. The original temple was built by Badami Chalukya king in the 7th century, who used to worship Goddess Banashankari as their tutelary deity.
