BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a beautiful and important temple located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This temple is located on Diamond Harbor Road near Joka. The temple was built in 2014 and is built by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The foundation of the temple was laid by Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The idols were consecrated in Ahmedabad on 15 March 2013 and the temple was opened and dedicated to visitors on 2 February 2014. The architecture is a beautiful combination of red sandstone and Italian marble, in which carved stone-cut work of intertwined flowers has been done. There are gardens and fountains all around; the lighting of the temple presents a glorious view in the evening. This temple not only holds spiritual significance but is also known for its architecture and calm atmosphere.
