Bhramaramba Ammavari Temple is located in Srisailam of Andhra Pradesh State. The Bramarambha Temple is one of the eighteen Maha Shakti Peethas. Bramarambha means the Mother of Bees and Goddess Bramarambika is one of the indications of Goddess Shakti, the Partner of Lord Shiva. The Greeva of Devi fell here. She has assumed the form of a bee and worshipped Lord Shiva. You can hear the buzzing of a bee through a tiny hole in the Bramarambha temple. The temple of Bramarambha Ammavari temple is located behind Mallikarjuna Swamy temple on the same campus. The idol of Bramarambha has eight arms and is decorated with a silk sari. An idol of Lopamudra, the wife of Agastya, is present in the Garbha griha. A Sri Yantra is present in front of the Garbha griha. Devotes are not allowed inside the main sanctum of this temple. The major festivals Navratri and Kumbhothsavam are celebrated with great enthusiasm.
