About Birla Mandir

The Birla Mandir is near the southern end of Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad, at the top of the Kala Pahad which is a twin hillock of Naubat Pahad. The Birlas built the temple in 1976 and constructed it with white marble imported from Rajasthan. The hillock is at a height of 280 feet situated on a 13-acre plot. The temple combines the architectural styles of Utkal and South Indian styles. October to March are the best time to visit this temple. Brahmotsavam, Diwali and Vaikunta Ekadashi are important festivals celebrated here.
