Danteshwari Mandir is a famous and ancient temple located at Dantewada in Chhattisgarh. It is dedicated to Goddess Danteshwari, a form of Goddess Durga, and is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple stands at the meeting point of the Danki and Shankini rivers. It is believed that Goddess Sati’s tooth (dant) fell here, giving the place its name. Devotees visit the temple to seek protection, strength, and blessings. The temple becomes very lively during Navratri, when thousands of devotees come for darshan.
