The Elk Murugan Temple is situated atop Elk Hill in Ooty, 4 kilometres from Ooty Railway Station and 1 mile from Rose Garden. This temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is one of the most well-known temples in Ooty and one of the top tourist destinations. The statue is a copy of Malaysia's Batu Caves' Murugan Statue. Thaipusam is the main festival celebrated at Elk Hill Murugan Temple. The best time to visit this temple is during the Tamil month of Thai.
