Garudeshwar is a Village in Nandod Taluka in the Narmada District of Gujarat State. It is located 17 KM towards East from District head quarters Rajpipla. This place has a spiritual background because of Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Shree Vasudevananda Saraswathy Swamy Maharaj who took the Samadhi at Bank of Narmadar River at Garudeshwara in 1914 A.D. The idol of Lord Dattatreya in the temple is very inspiring due to its piercing eyes and beside this Samadhi place of Shree Vasudevanand Swami Maharaj is positioned. Narmada is a sacred river and famous for its holy bath, devotee takes holy deep in Maa Devi Narmade at Garudeshwar.
