Gyan Baug - Vadtal

About Gyan Baug - Vadtal

Gyan Bagh is a peaceful and sacred garden near the Swaminarayan Temple in Vadtal, Gujarat. It is believed to be closely associated with the life of Lord Swaminarayan, who often sat under a mango tree here with saints and devotees and gave spiritual teachings. The garden is well maintained and has 12 stone pillars, each marking a place where the Lord used to hold spiritual gatherings. The garden also has an old well which is considered sacred. Here is a special spot where Lord Swaminarayan is believed to have manifested in twelve forms simultaneously while swinging, which is now marked with a small structure. The garden also has devotional paintings and provides a peaceful and spiritual space for prayer, peace and contemplation. That is why it is called "Gyan Bagh" - the Garden of Knowledge.
