About Hanuman Temple
The Hnauman temple is located in the city of Gangtok, Sikkim, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is also known as Hanuman Tok as "Tok" is the word for temple among the local people. The temple which is established in the year 1952 is mainted by the "Indian Army". According to the local legends, when Hanuman was flying to Dunagiri (mountain) which had the life saving herb Sanjeevani to save Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana, he rested in the spot for some time where his temple now lies.
