About Maa Bhadrakali Mandir
The Maa Bhadrakali Temple is located in bhaduli village, ikhori block, ini the chatra district of Jharkhand. it is uniquely positioned at the confluence of the mahane and baksa rivers. this temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, worshipped in a gentle form known as maa mangla gauri. temple complex also has a sahasra lingam carved with 1008 miniature lingams, punchmukhi hanuman and idol of shani dev, radha-krishna and ram-sita. The complex contains a Buddhist stupa adorned with 1,008 miniature Buddha figurines and images of the deity Tara. this place is considered the birthplace of sheetalnath, the 10th jain tirthankara whose sacred footprints (charan paduka) are preserved there. the idol of maa bhadrakali features a brahmi inscription at its feet indicating it was commissioned by king mahendra pala deva in the 9th century. local lore says that when lord buddha relatives found him meditating here and he failed to recognise them, they creid out "Iti khoi" means lost him here in pali. Itkhori Mahotsav and Navratri is the most prominent events celebrated here.
