Machail Chandi Mata Temple Kishtwar

The Machail Chandi Mata Temple is located in the city of Kishtwar, Jammu Kashmir, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi, one of the form of Goddess Durga. The shrine of the temple is located at an altitude of 2,800 meters in the Padder Valley. Every year Machail Mata Yatra is done which is one of the second largest pilgrimage in the Jammu region. Druing the year 1981, Thakur Kulveer Singh of Bhaderwah, Jammu visited the temple. He is credited to start the yatra.
