Mahamaya Temple is located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh and is dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths. The temple was built in 1492 A.D. The temple was built during the reign of the Kalachuris of Ratnapura. It is said to be located at the spot where King Ratnadeva had a darshan of the goddess Kali. Navaratri, Durga Puja and Diwali are the important festivals of this temple. October to March are the best months to visit Mahamaya Temple.
