About Maya Devi Temple Lumbini
Maya Devi temple is located in Lumbini, Nepal. It is believed that this temple is the birthplace of Gautam Budhha. Goddess Maya was the princess of Koliya kingdom and she was also the queen of Suddhodana, King of Kapilvastu. The Maya devi temple was built during the emperor Ashok in Lumbini. This sacred temple is attraction point for Buddhist people. Buddha Jayanti is the major festival that celebrated at Maya devi temple.
