Muktinath Temple is a very sacred Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage place in Mustang, Nepal. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, known as the “Lord of Liberation (Mukti)” and is believed to help devotees attain spiritual freedom. The temple is high in the Himalayas (about 3,700 m) and is famous for 108 holy water spouts where pilgrims take a ritual bath. Thousands of people visit for darshan and blessings, and it is an important part of pilgrimage journeys. The peaceful surroundings and religious importance make this temple very special for both Hindus and Buddhists.
