About Nyatapola Temple

Nyatapola Temple is situated in the central part of Bhaktpur, Nepal. Nyatapola translates "Natapla" means something with five storey and "Pola" means roof. Nyatapola Temple is the tallest temple of Nepal. This temple was build by King Bhupatindra Malla.  The gates of the temple is only opened once a year in July on the anniversary of its establishment. Festivals are not celebrated in the temple but yagya to the goddess is performed.
