The deity of this temple is Sri Muthappan, who is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Shiva. The main deity worshipped here is Sri Muthappan, who is considered to be a combined form of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. The architectural style of the temple is also different from other traditional temples, with a white-coloured three-storey structure. The worship practices here are based on the local folk art 'Theyyam' instead of the traditional Brahmin worship method.
