About Pithoragarh Patal Bhuvaneshwar Temple
The Patal Bhuvaneshwar Temple is located in the city of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the first human to discover this cave was Raja Ritupurna who was a king in the Surya Dynasty of Ayodhya during the Treta Yug. In the Kal yug , Adi Shankaracharya visited the cave in the year 1191 A.D. Since than the cave is being visted by the devotees.
