The Pataleshwar Cave Temple is located in Pune, Maharashtra and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a protected mountain and is managed by the Archaeological Survey of India. It consists of three rock-cut cave sanctums, currently dedicated to Parvati, the original Shiva-Ganesha, but perhaps originally dedicated to Brahma-Shiva-Vishnu. Diwali is an important festival celebrated at the Pataleshwar Cave Temple. The best time to visit this temple is from June to February.
