The Peddamma Temple is one of the popular places to worship the Mother Goddess. It is also known as Peddamma Gudi Temple or Peddamma Thalli Temple, this temple lies in the city of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, located in the famous Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad. It is to be believed that this temple is more than 150 years old, this temple took its present shape in the year 1993 A.D when Rajagopuram was built. Peddamma Temple is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi who is shown sitting on a lion called as Santhan Laxmi. The name Peddamma is derived from two words ‘pedda’ and ‘amma’, which means mother of mothers, denoting the Goddess. Bonalu Festival which is celebrated in the month of June-July is celebrated with great enthusiasm in this temple.
